This position is responsible for providing social service assistance to eligible clients in areas such as food, lodging, clothing, furniture and financial aid. It includes interview clients to determine need and eligibility for Rapid Rehousing and Atmos funds, assists clients after fire, flood, tornado, and maintains Pathway of Hope program, HMIS for shelter clients, and submits reports to Kentucky Housing Corporation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and interviews clients to determine eligibility for services and records client information.
  • Assists clients in completing applications for assistance and copies identification documents.
  • Prepares, completes, and processes food, clothing, and furniture vouchers for eligible clients.
  • Directs clients to Lodge Kitchen, Thrift Store, or Distribution Center.
  • Pack food boxes for clients leaving the shelter and manages pantry inventory.
  • Contacts utility organizations and landlords to process financial assistance.
  • Supervises Experience Works participant and trains staff on inmate worker regulations.
  • Processes new hires and administers Ceridian Time and Attendance program for Corps employees.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to lift and carry moderate heavy materials (25-50 lb). Moderate mobility, tasks performed seated, standing, walking. Must meet attendance requirements and read, write, and communicate English.

What We Are Looking For in You
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years experience working in a social or public service environment.
  • Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
