Position: Inventory Control Specialist (GFS)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Execute scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts, pick-path verifications, and bin audits to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Research, reconcile, and process exception orders and manage receipts in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Collect and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to develop actionable reports for process improvements
  • Mentor team members on WMS best practices, inventory controls, and safety procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and support continuous improvement initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a transaction-intensive warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Proficient in operating material-handling equipment and common office tools (Excel, Word, databases)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to sort numerical data and recommend corrective actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate at all organizational levels
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant certification preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with inventory-management systems and best practices in warehouse operations
  • Leadership experience, particularly in training peers and guiding process improvements
  • Familiarity with Lean initiatives and Kaizen events
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. and adapt to changing workloads
