Position Overview

The Executive Director of this new platform will lead an ambitious global initiative focused on granting funds to campaigns, coalitions, and civic groups. The Executive Director will be responsible for executing the initiative’s strategy across diverse geographies, including the US, Latin America, Europe, Africa and emerging democracies, and will work closely with global political stakeholders, campaigners, and thought leaders. This role will require visionary leadership, a strategic approach to partnerships and resource mobilisation, and a commitment to a just, inclusive and equitable vision and values.

Qualifications
  • Circa 15 years of proven experience in senior leadership within strategic grantmaking, political strategy, advocacy, movement building, or public engagement.
  • Deep understanding of varying political landscapes with a strong focus on driving the conditions for policy success.
  • Strategic, visionary leadership, building and implementing in start up environments.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with high-level stakeholders.
  • A track record of resource mobilisation, including interacting directly with donors.
  • Strong organisational and operational management skills, with experience overseeing budgets, team development, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Capability in building and leading teams of experts, ideally in remote, geographically dispersed conditions.
  • Experience of developing projects, programmes, and/or partnerships from scratch would be a plus.
