Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care or other outpatient settings and possess a strong foundation in patient care. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This office treats patients of all ages and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who can accommodate these various patient demographics including newborns through geriatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Provide infectious disease care and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using ICD-10 coding for diagnoses.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Administer basic life support when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
  • The average must be 20-30 patients a day.
  • Complete patient forms including but not limited to FMLA, sports physicals, Pre op clearance, and requested letters.
  • Delegate appropriately within the clinic ensuring appropriate scope of practice.
  • Administer medications including IM, SQ, and including vaccines

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical settings.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with specimen collection processing.(Can include blood sampling, cervical cytology, fecal, and nasopharyngeal)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, preferred ACLS and PALS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
