Join South Devon College as an Apprenticeship Employer Advisor and play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce across our region. This dynamic and collaborative position sits at the heart of our apprenticeship provision, supporting both employers and aspiring apprentices at the very start of their journey. Working closely with employers, applicants and a range of internal teams, you will help deliver a seamless and positive recruitment and pre‑enrolment experience, ensuring businesses are fully prepared, informed and confident in welcoming new apprentices into their organisations, while matching talented candidates with meaningful opportunities.
You will champion the value of apprenticeships as a powerful workforce development solution, build strong and lasting employer relationships, and provide clear, accurate guidance on programmes, funding and incentives to support effective planning and long‑term success. With a strong focus on service excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement, you will contribute to the College’s growth ambitions while ensuring apprenticeships remain accessible, sustainable and impactful for both learners and businesses.
To be successful in this role, you will hold GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths and have experience in a similar role or a strong customer‑facing background. You will be a team player with excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, alongside strong organisational and administrative abilities with attention to detail. You will be able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing demands, while confidently using systems.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people is essential. You will also be flexible, willing to travel across the South West, and able to represent the College professionally with external partners.
