Permanent, 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
The Careers Learning Journey Facilitator will design and deliver an Employment Readiness Programme that prepares learners for work experience opportunities, apprenticeships, further study and training, and sustainable employment and career progression. The role involves:
- Facilitating interactive workshops and practical activities
- Supporting learners to develop confidence, behaviours and skills valued by employers
- Helping learners connect their current studies to future career possibilities
- Encouraging curiosity, raising aspirations, widening participation, building confidence and resilience, improving employability skills, and supporting positive progression outcomes
Applicants should have:
- Experience in adult or post‑16 education or similar settings
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of employability and career development frameworks
- Ability to engage a diverse range of learners and adapt teaching approaches
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or possess a current certificate)
- 27 days annual leave (option to purchase additional holiday days)
- 1 day holiday for birthday (not required to be used on birthday)
- 1 day holiday for every 5 years served
