Care Assistant – Full Time (Days) – 30-Bed Care Home – Churston, Brixham – AV2038A

36 Hours per Week
Location:Churston, Brixham, Devon
Pay:£12.90 per hour (paid breaks included)
Shift:8am – 8pm

Working Pattern:3 shifts per week

About the Role

We are recruiting a dedicated
Care Assistant (Days)to join a welcoming 30-bed residential care home in the beautiful Churston area of Brixham.

The home provides a warm, supportive environment where residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and valued throughout the day.

Working
36 hours per week on 8am–8pm day shifts
, you will provide compassionate support with personal care, daily routines, meals, activities and mobility, while promoting residents’ dignity, independence, privacy and choice.

You will become an important part of a dedicated care team, building positive relationships with residents and helping to create a genuine home-from-home environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines
  • Assist with meals and refreshments
  • Support residents to participate in activities and social interaction
  • Maintain residents’ comfort, dignity and wellbeing throughout the day
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to residents’ needs and requests
  • Promote a safe, comfortable and supportive environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider care team
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with residents and their families
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable
  • A compassionate, caring and patient nature
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable and committed approach to work
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people and improving their quality of life
