Overview
We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Print Press Operator to join our client's busy evening shift team, working as part of a close-knit group of seven. This Print Press Operator role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality printed products.
Responsibilities- As a Print Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing presses to produce wristbands and related products to specification. The Print Press Operator will ensure smooth production flow, consistent quality, and compliance with health and safety standards throughout each shift.
- A typical day as a Print Press Operator will include:
- Setting up and operating printing presses in line with job specifications
- Monitoring print quality and making adjustments to maintain consistent output
- Carrying out quality control checks during the production process
- Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met
- Troubleshooting basic machine issues and escalating faults when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Completing routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
- Working closely with Production Support staff and the Production Manager
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Adhering to all health and safety, and quality standards
- Previous experience operating machinery within a print environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- A team-focused attitude with a willingness to support others
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Commitment to health and safety regulations
This Print Press Operator role operates on a 4-day working week:
- Monday to Wednesday: 16:00 - 02:00
- Thursday: 15:30 - 01:00
- £30,550 per annum including a 17.5% shift premium
- Overtime paid at 1.33x the standard hourly rate
