As a Packaging Technician (Level II), you will be part of a team responsible for the processing, inspecting, labelling and packing of pharmaceutical products whilst ensuring compliance with manufacturing SOPs and batch records whilst ensuring cGMP standards are always upheld.

About the RoleReporting into the Manufacturing Leader, you will play a key role in the Manufacturing Team ensuring adherence to cGMP and working standards.
First things first – Health & SafetyEvery role within our business carries responsibility for:
- Putting Health & Safety first in how you work, making sure your own actions and decisions support a safe working environment
- Identifying and promptly reporting Health & Safety hazards and incidents
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and challenging or escalating anything that could present a risk to people, product or site operations.
- Continually maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and self. Proactively challenge unsafe working practices and behaviours where observed and promote the identification of hazards.
- Inspection, labelling and packing of pharmaceutical products according to SOPs including manual inspection.
- Ensuring line activities are performed according to cGMP to meet regulatory, customer and commercial expectations.
- Setup and operation of equipment as set out in SOPs ensuring a first time right approach meeting standard times.
- Perform start and end of batch line clearance, critical for ensuring GMP compliance and preventing cross-contamination.
- Performing reconciliation / accountability reviews of batches according to cGMP.
- Movement of packaging components and products from designated storage locations to the line with the use of pallet trucks
- Read and understand all applicable SOPs and batch records written in English, to understand the importance of all activities and processes.
- Interact with electronic packaging monitoring equipment.
- Complete all documentation in a clear, precise, contemporaneous and legible manner meeting cGMP standards.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness in all areas at all times.
- Undertake other reasonable duties that may be required to support the business.
- Documenting product quality incidents and supporting investigations.
- Providing effective training and mentoring of packaging colleagues.
- Able to follow the principles of team working
- Able to undertake physical work which will involve lifting, pushing and pulling as defined by the Health and Safety Executive.
- Able to walk/stand for the majority of the shift
- Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English Language, Maths and Science
- Previous experience in manufacturing including the operating of HMI interfaces (GMP Pharmaceutical preferable)
- Willing to demonstrate consistently the company core values
- Able to stay focused on repetitive tasks
- Flexible and able to work overtime when necessary
