Are you a commercially driven relationship builder with a passion for skills development and employer engagement? South Devon College is seeking an ambitious Business Development Lead Coordinator to play a pivotal role in expanding our employer partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering innovative training solutions that meet the evolving needs of industry. Working within our Business Development, Talent & Skills Team, you will help shape the future workforce by connecting businesses with high‑quality apprenticeships, professional development programmes and bespoke training services.
Through your strategic approach, market insight and commitment to outstanding customer service, you will support sustainable income growth, strengthen employer relationships, and contribute to the College's mission of driving economic prosperity across the region.
You will hold a Level 3 qualification and Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths, with experience in B2B sales, business development, marketing, and/or CRM systems. A confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills, you will have a proven track record of achieving targets, developing client relationships, and delivering excellent customer service. Highly organised and self‑motivated, you will be able to manage competing priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing demands while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well‑being of children and young people is essential. The role requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, travel across the South West, and a full driving licence with access to suitable transport.
