, we are looking for a Sales Advisor to join the friendly and supportive team at our branch in Paignton
. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, providing expert advice, and helping customers find the right solutions for their projects.
Whether you have experience in a builders' merchant or come from a retail, trade, customer service or sales background, we would love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Delivering outstanding service to trade and retail customers, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Building strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions
- Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
- Processing customer orders accurately and ensuring they are fulfilled efficiently
- Developing new customer accounts while maintaining existing and lapsed customer relationships
- Work in other areas of the branch as and when needed
- Working closely with suppliers and colleagues to deliver the best possible customer experience
- Supporting stock control, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised branch
- Following company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on health and safety
Working Hours:
This is a part-time role working 27 hours a week (with additional hours to cover holidays, illness etc). Hours will be worked across Monday
- Friday, and every other Saturday. Exact working patterns will be discussed at interview.
- Experience in a customer service or sales role
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
Experience with in a builders' merchant or knowledge of building materials would be an advantage, but it is not essential. If you have the right attitude and a passion for customer service, we will provide the training and support you need to succeed.
