HGV Class 1; C+E Driver​/Off Tramper – Bowburn; General Haulage

Job Overview

Jack Richards, a well‑established, family‑run national haulier, is seeking a professional Class 1 driver to join our Bowburn depot. The role involves operating a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle on a 6 On / 6 Off shift pattern.

• Ensure vehicles comply with legal requirements and report issues to the DC team.
• Secure and accurately deliver loads in your charge.
• Follow delivery instructions accurately and effectively.
• Drive safely and efficiently.
• Comply with health and safety standards, The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.

You must hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC) card.

Preferred experience:

Curtainside trailers, timber, and ratchet strapping. Training will be provided where needed.

Estimated gross annual earnings: c. £33,600 plus bonuses. Salary includes enhanced rates after 10 hours, £26.20 nights out (tax‑free), up to £10 per day meal allowance (tax‑free), £6 per shift loyalty bonus, company pension, and driver referral scheme. You will be paid 13 times a year (4 weekly).
