Location: Concord, OH (per diem available for out-of-area candidates)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (initial project 4 months; eligibility to stay on for additional projects contingent upon performance)
Compensation: $60 - $75/hr depending on qualifications

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to serve as our on-site representative for a major production line upgrade at our client’s facility in Concord, OH. The client produces specialized chemicals. In this role, you will lead field operations, oversee subcontractors, and drive project success in a fast‑paced industrial environment. This position requires strong leadership to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, with a primary focus on electrical (largest scope), civil, and piping/mechanical disciplines.
Subcontractors have been pre-selected, and you will not function as an owner's representative but as our firm's direct liaison.
- Act as the company's primary on-site representative, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead and direct crafts, trades, and field teams to execute daily operations efficiently.
- Manage change orders, including evaluation, negotiation, and implementation to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate with the safety team to enforce protocols, conduct inspections, and promote a zero-incident culture.
- Review and approve contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Drive project progress in the field, resolving issues proactively and maintaining momentum across all phases.
- Oversee the work of pre-determined subcontractors, monitoring performance, quality, and adherence to specifications in key disciplines: electrical (primary focus), civil, and piping/mechanical.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to integrate field activities with overall project plans.
- Report project status, risks, and milestones to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in industrial or manufacturing projects, with a track record of leading field teams and managing multidisciplinary scopes.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling change orders, invoice approvals, safety coordination, and subcontractor oversight.
- Familiarity with electrical, civil, and piping/mechanical disciplines in construction settings.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a field-based environment, including exposure to industrial sites.
- College degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
