Maintenance Technician
Compensation: $24 - $35/hour

My client is a leading specialty chemical manufacturer and they are looking for a skilled and reliable maintenance technician to join their team. This critical role is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our chemical processing and production equipment in a high‑stakes environment.
What You’ll Do:- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), emergency repairs, and calibrations on reactors, pumps, mixers, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.
- Adhere to strict Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, environmental protocols, and all OSHA regulations. Work safely with and around chemical processes.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with rotating equipment and precision alignment is key.
- Work collaboratively with process operators and engineers to identify issues and improve plant reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
- Accurately log work orders, parts usage, and PM tasks in our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Hot Work, and other critical safety procedures to maintain a zero‑incident work environment.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting; chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong hands‑on skills with industrial machinery; experience with pumps, valves, reactors, and high‑pressure systems is a strong plus.
- Ability to read P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge is a significant advantage.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to Process Safety Management (PSM) and mechanical integrity standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive, self‑motivated work ethic.
