In this role, the CNC Programmer Machinist will program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to manufacture high-precision components according to engineering specification. CAD/CAM or similar software will be utilized to design programs.
Position Summary- Responsible for creating programs and making edits as needed utilizing CAD/CAM software
- Set up CNC machines, including loading raw materials, securing work pieces, and selecting appropriate tooling
- Ensure CNC machines operate within specified tolerances and quality standards
- Monitor machine operations, adjust as needed to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts to verify conformance to design specifications
- Verification of CNC machined parts; inspect tool geometry using various measuring tools
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous CNC experience required, including mills & lathes
- Familiarity with Solid Works/ CAD/CAM software
- Experience working with tight tolerance parts a plus
- Strong shop math skills, (standard & metric)
- Ability to read blueprints along with mathematical inclination
