Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included. The post is Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

This post will include a varied and interesting range of admin duties to support the Renfrewshire HSCP Prescribing Team. The holder will work largely independently, prioritising workload, and ensuring accurate, high‑quality support. Key skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational and time‑management abilities, and the use of a range of computer packages.

Minimum Requirements
  • Full proficiency in computer skills, i.e. all aspects of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Competence in the use of a range of computer packages – evidenced by experience or a formal qualification such as ECDL.
  • Knowledge of work in an office environment and operation of office equipment and systems, gained through formal training or work experience.
  • Willingness to undertake short courses or formal training, such as achieving an SVQ in Administration at Level 2 or 3, to improve skill level.
  • Good command of verbal and written English.
