We are recruiting for a Document Controller to join a busy and growing organisation. This is a pivotal role supporting multiple departments, ensuring documents are managed efficiently throughout their lifecycle and that teams always have access to the latest information.
The Role As Document Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing documentation systems, ensuring records are accurate, compliant and stored correctly. You will act as the central point of contact for document control processes, supporting projects and business operations alike.
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain electronic document management systems (EDMS) Upload, track and distribute project documentation Ensure all documents are correctly version controlled and archived Monitor document workflows, approvals and revisions Maintain accurate records and audit trails Support internal teams with document retrieval and reporting Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations Liaise with stakeholders to ensure documentation deadlines are met Produce regular reports on document status and outstanding actions What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a Document Controller, Administrator, Project Support or similar role Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Experience using document management systems or databases Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
