• Gain hands‑on experience in a busy workshop while working towards your SCQF Level 5 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Learn how to carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance and inspections.
• Assist with MOT preparation and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, engine and chassis faults.
• Remove, replace and overhaul vehicle components using industry-standard tools and equipment.
• Develop knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and automotive technology.
• Learn to work safely and professionally while following health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment.
• Receive ongoing training, assessments and support from experienced mentors at both GTG Training and Farmer Autocare throughout your apprenticeship.

• National 4 or above in English
• National 4 or above in Maths
• National 4 or above in a Science or Technical subject

• Have a genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry
• Are keen to learn and develop new skills

• Are organised and able to work to deadlines
• Are willing to use their own initiative in a practical environment
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
