Early Learning Support Worker

Overview

Early Learning Support Worker role at Renfrewshire Council. You will be part of a team assisting nursery officers in the delivery of early learning and childcare, including supporting lunchtimes, working with individual/groups of children and the organisation of playrooms. It is essential that you demonstrate a commitment and ability to undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare in line with SSSC requirements: NC in Childhood Practice at SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 as stipulated by SSSC, or equivalent.

Experience of children and young people; ability to communicate orally with children and adults; caring nature; responsiveness and awareness of the needs of young children are also essential. If not already registered with SSSC, you will be required to register as a Support Worker of Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
