Senior Quantity Surveyor – Reverse Impact

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions – Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing and Maintenance. We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure financial efficiency, value for money and compliance with the highest standards of quality.

• Work closely with Contracts Management and Estimating departments to ensure commercial viability of contracts.
• Take an active role in our Supply Chain Management Initiative to build relationships with subcontractors.
• Ensure all monthly valuations and final accounts are submitted and agreed with clients within agreed timescales.
• Manage cash flow and produce monthly management reporting.
• Fully embrace the company’s Customers 1st campaign and continually improve customer service.

• Have experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor – preferred but not essential.
• Be comfortable working with minimum supervision and able to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
• Be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Show a track record of profitability on projects they have worked on.

This is a full‑time permanent position, and successful candidates can be based either from our Paisley head office or our Edinburgh Office in Newbridge. Due to the nature of the role, travel to sites and client meetings will also be required.
