Expressive Arts DepartmentThe department operates across three centres:
Goudie Academy’s Gannochy Centre for Expressive Arts, Mirin Academy and Forest View Primary School. It offers a multifaceted and inclusive approach, allowing collaboration with local community groups and national organisations to enrich learner experience.
As a teacher at Kibble you will work in small classes (approx. 6 pupils) to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individualised education plans. You will teach S1–S6 learners, work across Curriculum for Excellence, and deliver National Qualifications and Wider Achievement Qualifications. Experience in Media/Film and Screen is welcomed.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver music lessons tailored to individual educational needs.
- Use differentiation and personalisation techniques to support reluctant learners.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and review Individualised Education Plans.
- Prepare learners for National and Wider Achievement Qualifications.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports.
- Participate in teaching quality safeguarding and professional development.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the GTC (Scotland).
- Recognised teaching qualification specific to Secondary Education.
- Clear commitment to continuing professional development, e.g., studies in Additional Support Needs.
- Excellent communication, motivation and support skills.
- Strong time‑management and resource utilisation.
- Aptitude for decision‑making and initiative.
Successful candidates will need a suitable level of fitness to carry out Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training.
