Overview
Due to the retirement of our Head Teacher, we are looking to recruit to this role. We want the successful candidate to build on our strong foundations and take our school to its next stage, whilst nurturing and inspiring our children and staff to be the best they can be. We are a registered Charity and a Non-Maintained Special School, with up to 70 children ranging from Reception to Year 11.
Class sizes are usually no larger than 6 children.
Applicants will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in senior management at Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher level, experience of working with and developing support and provision for SEND children. You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a degree and National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). See our recruitment pack for full details.

The successful applicant, working closely alongside the CEO, will have overall responsibility for leadership and management of the school, and will lead with courage, integrity and passion, be resilient and confident, and be able to demonstrate experience of leading, managing, motivating and supporting school staff, while developing good working relationships with children, parents and carers and the wider professionals who form part of our unique provision here at Talbot House.
