Bouygues Travaux Publics is a global leader in civil engineering and infrastructure. We are recruiting a Lead Estimator for the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) to work on the Sizewell C 3.2‑gigawatt power station, a key low‑carbon project that will supply clean electricity to millions of homes for the next 60 years.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a multi‑level estimating team across the Marine & Tunnels scope, taking ownership of cost planning and pricing. Work closely with the Head of Estimating to align with client standards.

Produce robust, well‑assured estimating documentation, review drawings and specifications, and develop detailed cost build‑ups for labour, plant, materials and subcontractors. Interrogate design options and value solutions, record assumptions, risks and opportunities, and track change as the estimate matures.

Engage stakeholders collaboratively with planning, procurement, project teams and the supply chain. Present, negotiate and justify estimates with senior leaders and external partners, and mentor junior estimators.

Key Competencies

Strong background in infrastructure main contracting, preferably civil engineering, with a commercial or operational mindset. Effective communicator comfortable in client‑facing environments, able to lead discussions with clarity and confidence.

Demonstrates humility, respect, and a solutions‑focused approach. Capable of challenging constructively, driving continuous improvement, making timely decisions, simplifying complexity and fostering collaboration across the Alliance.

Knowledge of tools such as Candy and CostX, AACE estimating principles and professional chartership are advantageous, but leadership capability, flexibility and commitment to shared success are essential.

If you are ready to lead on a landmark project shaping the UK’s energy future, please apply now.
