Home Care Worker (Sessional) - Extra Care Housing

Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership Care at Home Services provides care and support to vulnerable people living at home, within the community, which includes four extra care housing developments across Renfrewshire.

Extra care housing service operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Core business is between 6.30am and 10.30pm.

You will require to undertake all relevant training for the post. It is essential that you have experience of working in a care setting and delivering personal care or in an informal/personal capacity; have an awareness of a range of long term conditions and have an understanding of the needs of people who require help from care services; be able to demonstrate within your application form that you are reliable and flexible with the ability to work as part of a team.

You will also be required to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) and this would include monitoring and reporting changes in the identified needs of service users including the handling of sensitive information.

It is essential that you hold or have the capacity to achieve an SVQ Level 2 in Care or an equivalent qualification at level 5 (SCQF) or above. You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or achieve registration within 6 months of your start date.
