This is a full-time, on-site Recruitment Specialist role based in Paisley. The Recruitment Specialist will identify staffing needs, source candidates through local networks and online channels, and manage end-to-end recruitment processes for community projects and partner organizations. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting role descriptions, posting opportunities, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate candidate records. The role also involves building relationships with local businesses and community groups, promoting opportunities in line with the “Positive Paisley” ethos, and supporting basic onboarding and orientation for new participants or staff.
The Recruitment Specialist will collaborate closely with internal team members to ensure recruitment activities reflect the organization’s values and contribute to the town’s positive development.
- Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, including candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with local businesses, community members, and stakeholders.
- Organizational and administrative skills for managing multiple roles, applicant tracking, and follow-up activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a community-focused environment and build positive, long-term relationships.
- Knowledge of local Paisley community dynamics or strong interest in place-based, grassroots initiatives.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (email, social media, job boards, office software) for promoting roles and managing recruitment workflows.
- Prior experience in community outreach, HR, or nonprofit settings is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in Human Resources, Business, Community Development, or a related field is beneficial.
