Technical Solutions Engineer | Telford | Hybrid | Permanent | £27,000–£32,000
Seymour John are working with a well-established technology business based in Telford who are looking to recruit a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Technical Department on a permanent basis.
This is a varied and hands-on role, providing technical support across the full sales lifecycle — from pre-sales engagement through to post-sales support. Working closely with sales, service, and technical teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical solutions and delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Providing technical support to customers and partners via phone, email, online systems, and on-site when required
- Collaborating with sales teams on projects, solution recommendations, proposals, and customer presentations
- Taking ownership of technical issues, including investigation, resolution, documentation, and escalation
- Logging and tracking technical issues using internal systems, ensuring accurate updates and resolution tracking
- Managing proof-of-concept and technical customisation projects through to completion
- Supporting and maintaining demonstration equipment and technical resources
- Working closely with internal technical teams to resolve technical and project-related issues
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the IT or technology sector
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in computer diagnostics and hardware support
- Strong knowledge of PC architecture, Windows-based systems, networking, and security
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel and adapt working hours when required
- Full-time, permanent position
