Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior Dev Ops Engineer (United Kingdom) responsible for building and optimizing scalable CI/CD ecosystems that support complex SAP and enterprise environments across on‑prem and cloud infrastructures. You will design automated pipelines, improve deployment reliability, and drive Dev Sec Ops  best practices across engineering teams. Working in a highly collaborative and technically driven environment, you will standardize reusable automation components and improve overall delivery efficiency.

The role involves close interaction with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure robust and secure system operations. You will shape Dev Ops standards and influence engineering practices across the organization.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for an engineer passionate about automation, reliability, and platform engineering at scale.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines in Git Lab with a strong focus on SAP-based environments
• Develop and standardize reusable pipeline templates, modules, and automation components
• Automate deployment, release, and system remediation processes to improve efficiency and reliability
• Implement Dev Sec Ops  practices by integrating security, compliance, and quality controls into CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams across VMware, GCP, and Kubernetes environments
• Support the definition and adoption of Dev Ops standards, frameworks, and best practices across the organization
• Contribute to system hardening, operational improvements, and platform stability initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and share knowledge within the Dev Ops and engineering teams

• Strong hands‑on experience with Git Lab CI/CD, including pipeline design, optimization, and automation
• Proven experience working with SAP environments (on‑premise and/or cloud‑based)
• Experience building reusable CI/CD templates, shared libraries, or pipeline frameworks
• Solid understanding of VMware‑based infrastructure in on‑prem environments
• Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops  principles and automation practices
• Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional technical teams
• Strong documentation skills and ability to define clear technical standards
