Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is among the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non‑clinical professions. This role is a Painter within Leverndale and Dykebar Hospitals Estates Department.
Shift PatternMonday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:00 / Friday 08:00 – 15:30. The post may require working outside normal hours to meet access restrictions.
Responsibilities- Maintain a wide range of buildings, ensuring statutory compliance and effective maintenance of painting and decorating works.
- Participate in FM First PPM & Reactive Maintenance System to deliver audit standard compliance and minor works.
- Organise and manage workload and priorities day‑to‑day.
- Support patient care by providing safe and efficient operation & maintenance of estates.
- Recognised and registered CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship or City & Guilds suitable qualification.
- Competent tradesperson with extensive experience in building fabric maintenance, preferably in the health care sector.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Commitment to NHS values and delivering outstanding patient care.
Full‑time position with a reduced 36‑hour Agenda for Change week (effective 1 April 2026). Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata.
