Advert Team Leader

Renfrewshire Council - proud recipient of Council of the Year - is seeking to recruit a Team Leader as part of the newly created Business Support Team which assists the Planning and Building Standards Service.

Educated to SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, or experience at a senior level within a frontline service delivery environment, you will be responsible for leading and managing all administrative and clerical staff within the Planning and Building Standards Service. This will include ensuring effective administrative and ICT processes/systems are in place and staff are trained and developed. Key services include frontline customer service, service user welfare, data input, procurement and financial management, ICT and administration support for the delivery of the Planning and Building Standards Service.

It is essential that you have experience of: delivering services in a regulatory and legislation driven environment, managing demanding customer relationships, delivering and managing a wide range of administrative tasks; developing and leading teams; systems including Microsoft Office, Uniform, Enterprise and Idox DMS.

It is desirable that you have experience of developing processes and procedures, experience of using the Council finance & purchasing systems, experience of supporting business change and knowledge of the Planning and Building Standards Service.
