Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 pa, depending on skills and experience, with great benefits including Health Cash Plan.
Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Newcastle upon Tyne.
As Project Manager in our Repairs and Maintenance Transformation team, you will lead dynamic change initiatives that support the delivery of our organisational priorities. You will use your expertise to deliver system and operational improvements, along with DLO and contractor mobilisations, while managing a small team responsible for the design and testing of technical project changes related to maintenance service delivery.
Building strong relationships, managing expectations, full stakeholder engagement, and playing a key role in supporting change that benefits our customers are central to the role.
- Lead business change across multiple departments using the Project@Home framework to enhance the future of Repairs and Maintenance services.
- Manage projects using both waterfall and agile SCRUM methods, ensuring timely and successful delivery while collaborating with stakeholders to understand scope and key deliverables.
- Utilise Smartsheet for planning, tracking, automating, and real‑time reporting on project progress.
- Ensure agile delivery in the Repairs and Maintenance team by defining processes and managing products effectively.
- Manage a small team and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to achieve win‑win outcomes and deliver customer benefits.
- Support hybrid working arrangements with occasional travel as required.
- PRINCE 2 or APM PMQ qualification with strong experience in applying agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in project planning and resource management, using project controls and risk management.
- Expertise in change management focused on delivering customer benefits.
- Experience delivering system implementation projects and managing technical resources to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to achieve win‑win outcomes and influence effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, quickly gaining confidence of colleagues and senior leaders.
- Flexible working hours (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with hybrid work at the Newcastle office and from home.
- Occasional travel as needed.
