Fabricator​/Welder

Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Paisley. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components to precise specifications and ensuring high-quality standards throughout.

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately to assemble parts to specification.
• Fabricate and prepare materials, including cutting, drilling, and tack welding.
• Cut, shape, and assemble steel and other metals using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform MIG welding processes as required.
• Inspect welds and finished work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Follow health & safety procedures, using correct PPE and maintaining a safe workspace.
• Maintain tools and welding equipment, reporting any faults.
• Work as part of a team, communicating effectively to meet deadlines.
• Comply with industry regulations and company quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet project goals and deadlines.

• SVQ / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering
