Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Glasgow. The role requires full‑time on‑site work with a varied shift pattern.
Shift Pattern:
- Day Shift: Monday–Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday 8:30 pm – 6:00 am (includes 33% shift allowance)
Overtime availability on Monday–Thursday (1.33×), Friday (1.5× for first 4 hrs, 2.0× afterwards), Saturday (1.5×), Sunday (2.0×). Night and weekend shifts have a 33% shift allowance.
Pay: £40,016 per annum + shift allowance + overtime.
Main Responsibilities- Fabricate and install pipework systems across a range of projects.
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, weld and assemble pipes.
- Install utilities aboard ship (sinks, showers, toilets).
- Assemble fittings, valves and related components according to drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.

- Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade papers and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds).
- Current knowledge of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment.
- Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, tools and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and risk assessments.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Experience in industrial or commercial settings preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience in TIG pipe welding.
- Welding skills.
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
