Registered Nurse – Care Home

Responsibilities
  • Build on your existing skill set by practicing in a nurse‑led environment, developing complex decision‑making and collaborative skills.
  • Provide support and guidance to residents, helping them with life‑changing decisions and being a source of comfort during vulnerable moments.
  • Mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and acting as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
  • Advocate and deliver a person‑centred approach to care for residents and their families.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with at least 12 months experience in health or social care.
  • Valid NMC PIN.
  • Strong understanding of the NMC's standards of professional practice.
  • Passion for mentoring, teaching, and practice supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, role‑modeling professional behaviour.
  • Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and share safeguarding knowledge with colleagues.
