Job Description Why You’ll Love Endoscopy- Variety in your day — care for patients across pre-procedure, procedure, and recovery
- Work closely with a highly collaborative procedural and anesthesia team
- Build specialized skills in endoscopy, sedation, recovery, and procedural nursing
- Use your assessment and critical-thinking skills to make an immediate impact on patient safety
- Be part of a team focused on quality care and an exceptional patient experience
- Completing pre-procedure assessments and preparing patients for procedures
- Establishing IV access and administering medications as ordered
- Providing patient and family education
- Supporting physicians and the procedural team during endoscopic procedures
- Monitoring patients receiving sedation and/or anesthesia
- Recognizing and responding quickly to changes in patient condition
- Providing post-procedure recovery care and determining readiness for discharge
- Educating patients and caregivers on discharge and follow-up instructions
- Flexing between pre-op, procedure, and recovery based on patient and department needs

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Previous Endoscopy or acute-care nursing experience preferred
This position participates in the Endoscopy Department's call rotation, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as assigned. Team members must be able to respond within the department's required call-back timeframe.
