Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Staff Nurse within our Endoscopy team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to safe, effective and compassionate patient care throughout their journey. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a dynamic Day Surgery and Endoscopy setting while benefiting from the training, career development and support available within one of the UK's largest health boards.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues who are committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and continuous service improvement.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
  • Part-time, Permanent
  • You will be based at The Royal Alexandra Hospital
  • Working Pattern:
    Monday - Friday
  • Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.
Key responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate person-centred care for patients attending for endoscopic procedures
  • Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care while maintaining dignity, respect and patient involvement
  • Admit, monitor and discharge patients undergoing endoscopic interventions within the Day Surgery environment
  • Provide physical, technical and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their care journey
  • Lead and supervise registered and non-registered staff, supporting effective team working and service delivery
  • Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives and practice development programmes
  • Ensure accurate patient record keeping and safe use of clinical equipment in line with professional and organisational standards
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Ability to deliver high-quality person-centred care within a busy clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues
  • Understanding of professional, legal and ethical responsibilities relevant to nursing practice
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate leadership when required
  • Experience with in an endoscopy, day surgery or similar acute clinical environment would be advantageous
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, education and continuous improvement of patient care services
