AboutThe Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our Paisley depot, supporting both depot-based and field-based operations across Scotland. Travel may be required to locations such as Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Falkirk. This is an outstanding opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience who wants to grow, develop, and take their career to the next level within a global organisation.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment across depot and customer sites.
- Preparing, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure it’s fully operational before deployment.
- Carrying out major overhauls, refurbishments, and fault diagnostics to minimise downtime.
- Working closely with the service team, hire controllers, and foreman to keep operations running smoothly.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Travelling to customer sites and taking part in an on-call rota (1 week in
4).
- Mechanical engineering experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.
- A full UK driving licence.
