Our Service
Our Intensive Prevention Service is part of Futures Matter, which supports children and families in Staffordshire.
Units of Futures Matter- Intensive Prevention Service
- Youth Offending Service
- Saplings and Prevention
- Family Group Conference Service

- Child Exploitation Team
- Provide intense support to children on the edge of care to help them stay at home.
- Support Social Workers with reassessments of family members to progress family time with the aim of supporting children and young people to return home after being in our care.
- Support children to return home where there is an agreed plan of reunification.
- Take responsibility for supporting young people (8-18 years of age) and their parents to develop a tailored package of support, drawing upon other resources within the team as appropriate to remain or return home to their family.
- Maintain positive relationships, providing high support and high challenge to effect changes in family dynamics to promote stability at home.
- Work restoratively with families, offering an intense and robust package of support for young people and their families where there is a risk of family breakdown due to adverse childhood experiences, relationship difficulties or where exploitation is a significant risk.
- Take responsibility for the accurate recording of all work undertaken on the electronic file in keeping with the agreed time frames within the Intensive Prevention Service.
- Participate in all team meetings, training, the duty system and in developing the service.
- Have experience of working with children/young people and their families within their own homes.
- Have experience of delivering a variety of interventions/direct work to address presenting issues.
- Have a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or an equivalent qualification relevant to working with children and their families.
- Have access to a car at all times where mileage and an essential car allowance is paid.
- Be able to work flexibly, which includes working weekends on a rota basis and in the evenings to support the children and families that you are working with, for which you will receive additional increments.

- Salary £30,024 – £34,343 plus 2 additional increments for weekend working.
