Social Worker - Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service

Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and drug use?
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Social Worker to join the Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service, supporting individuals and families to achieve positive, sustainable change.
The Role- Undertake comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs, risks and circumstances.
- Develop and review person-centred support and care plans.
- Provide professional social work interventions to individuals and families.
- Work collaboratively with health, social care, housing, criminal justice and third-sector partners.
- Support individuals to access appropriate treatment, recovery and community services.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and children where required.
- Manage a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to risk management planning.
- Promote recovery, independence, resilience and positive outcomes.
- Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Experience working within social work, alcohol and drug services, adult services, mental health or another relevant setting.
- Strong assessment, care planning and risk management skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and relevant social care legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and strengths-based approach.
- Commitment to promoting dignity, choice and recovery.
Experience of working with people affected by substance misuse would be highly desirable.
