DME Specialist – Durable Medical Equipment

We are seeking a DME Specialist to process patient orders accurately and efficiently in a fast‑paced medical office environment. The role involves product solutions, basic order and insurance questions, inventory management, documentation and department collaboration.

• Receipt, routing and fulfillment of orders from patients, providers and medical facilities.
• Answering phone and responding to patient or provider inquiries by researching documentation and insurance guidelines.
• Accurate and timely entry of data into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Pulling DME/Kits/SIC from inventory, preparing packaging and dispensing in person.
• Collect urine samples (as required).
• Confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines.

• Perform other logically associated duties that enhance the position.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
• Competent in computer applications pertinent to the position.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years’ experience with DME customer service or medical customer service preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, EMR systems).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Maintain complete confidentiality at all times.
