Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, Evenings and Weekends as needed

Position Summary: The Safety & Compliance Technician assists with monitoring workplace activities to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Essential Functions- Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Conducts employee training in absence of the safety officer on applicable safety standards.
- Conducts safety inspections in absence of the safety officer and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
- HS Diploma Required
- Health and safety certification required.
- One year of related experience preferred.
Computer
Skills:
General computer and office skills needed.
Certificates & Licenses: A valid Florida driver’s license.
Physical DemandsStand frequently, walk frequently, sit occasionally, handling/fingering frequently, reach outward frequently, reach above shoulder frequently, climb frequently, crawl occasionally, squat or kneel frequently, bend frequently, lift 10‑20 lbs frequently, lift 21‑50 lbs frequently. Push/pull 12‑40 lbs frequently. Other physical requirements include vision (near, distance, peripheral, depth perception), sense of sound, sense of touch, ability to wear PPE (hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots), ability to travel throughout facility for inspections.
Work Environment: Outdoor environment, excessive heat, excessive cold.
