Registered NURSE - Emergency ROOM - NIGHTS or Evening SHIFTS

REGISTERED NURSE – EMERGENCY ROOM – NIGHTS or EVENING SHIFTS

Full‑time night or evening shifts.

• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Identify and monitor patient care requirements by recording and reporting symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions; record patients’ medical information and vital signs; administer medications as ordered.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses, conditions and physician orders.
• Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Review, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.
• Promote patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teach patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions through collaboration with an inter‑disciplinary team of health care providers.
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measure health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; make or recommend necessary adjustments; follow hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Ensure operation of equipment following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs; maintain equipment inventories; evaluate new equipment and techniques.
• Delegate and supervise personnel.
• Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.
• Coordinate admissions and discharge planning.
• Instruct individuals, families and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, childbirth, and develop health improvement programs.
• Direct and coordinate infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.
• Provide or arrange for training / instruction of auxiliary personnel or students.
• Engage in research activities related to nursing.

• 1 year of acute‑care ER experience required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• If a candidate has 3 or more years of experience as an RN and has their compact license (they will still need to apply for the FL license) we can consider and move forward.
• If a candidate has less than 3 years of RN experience, they will need to take the NCLEX in FL and once they pass we can consider (This is if candidates do not have a FL RN License).
• Associate Degree.
