Haven Hospice is seeking a passionate, dedicated Hospice Cook to serve patients at our Palatka Care Center. In this role, you will prepare and serve meals to patients with special dietary needs in a clean, safe, and respectful environment. Your daily work will bring comfort, dignity, and nourishment to those at the end of life.

Coverage area: Palatka Care Center

Schedule: Part time, 3‑10 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays

• Prepare and cook patient meals, including special diets, in a sanitary and safe manner
• Cook food in proper quantities based on the daily menu and patient census
• Check and log temperatures for food and refrigerated equipment to ensure safety and compliance
• Serve as first position on the serving line during meal service
• Stock and store food items properly upon delivery
• Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and family information
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred
• 3 years of cooking experience in a Health Care, Institutional, or Restaurant Food Service setting
