Job SummaryThis role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities Compliance (50%)- Observe customers and check identification for age verification; deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
- Provide continuous attention to customers' needs.
- Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Offer product suggestions to customers when appropriate.
- Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
- Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
- Operate department equipment and tools; operate cashiering equipment accurately, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change.
- Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required EducationHigh School / GED
Preferred EducationHigh School / GED Diploma
Language Requirements- English – required
- English and Spanish – preferred
- 0-3 years minimum, no supervisory experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- High standard of integrity and reliability.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Physical demands and working conditions involve standing, walking, manual dexterity, repetitive movements, reaching, lifting up to 250 lbs, etc.
