Job Summary

Performs a variety of maintenance and mechanic tasks. Provides preventive maintenance, urgent maintenance, and repair on our heavy equipment in the yard, and maintenance for other yard equipment as needed.

Key Performance Indicators

Ensure preventive maintenance work on yard equipment is completed 100% of the time before the due date. Ensure equipment is operational and meets company specifications 100% of the time.

Essential Functions
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintenance on the heavy equipment and equipment in the yard.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Reasoning skills to accommodate individual situations and provide solutions to issues if they arise.
  • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers.
  • Inspect ladders.
  • Inspect buildings/Job sites to identify safety hazards.
  • Familiar with/Ensure compliance with OSHA Policies and Procedures (Safety Data Sheets).
  • Repair damaged equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain tools and equipment (pumps, chain hoists, small engines, yard maintenance equipment, pressure washer).
  • Conduct and maintain preventative maintenance program and procedures on tools, equipment, and facilities.
  • Operate scissor lifts, extendable booms, tractor, drive truck and tow a trailer (pick‑up and delivery driver), fork trucks.
  • General knowledge and ability of electrical and plumbing.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or G.E.D.;

    Experience:

    Six months to one year of related experience.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    General computer skills;
    AutoCAD;
    Microsoft Office.
