Position: Psychiatrist – Inpatient or Outpatient

Location: Palestine, TX

Schedule: Full-Time

A well-established behavioral health program in East Texas is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to join its growing team.

This role offers the flexibility to practice in a dedicated inpatient behavioral health hospital or to establish an outpatient-only clinic
, depending on your preference.

The behavioral health program provides care to patients of all ages
, serving a diverse population across East and East Central Texas. The inpatient setting includes both acute psychiatric care and rehabilitative services, while the outpatient option offers continuity of care and long-term patient management.

• Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan
• Manage patient care in either an inpatient or outpatient setting (based on provider preference)
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications tailored to individual needs
• Provide follow-up care to ensure patient progress and treatment adherence
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff
• Document all encounters accurately in EMR and comply with clinical and regulatory standards
• Contribute to quality improvement and best practice initiatives
