Overview
EMT - Paramedic - FT Days -
The EMT/Paramedic will be responsible for answering emergency calls and providing direct patient care in a variety of environments. They are responsible for monitoring the patient's condition, responding with the appropriate care and documenting these items. They may be called on to transport patients to and from nursing homes, long term care facilities, etc. and the hospital for testing and care.
The EMT/Paramedic will also be responsible for maintaining and restocking the ambulance.
- Answer emergency calls and provide direct patient care in a variety of environments.
- Monitor the patient's condition, respond with the appropriate care, and document these items.
- Transport patients to and from nursing homes, long term care facilities, and hospitals for testing and care as needed.
- Maintain and restock the ambulance.
- Current EMT-Paramedic certification through Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Current BLS certification with American Heart Association.
- Ability to lift very heavy loads (>150 lbs) frequently and for brief durations.
