The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The RN effectively interacts with patients, patients' family members, physicians and co-workers while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN initiates discharge planning and healthcare education to the patient and/or their family members to promote recovery.

Required to be currently licensed, have a temporary permit or an active application in progress for licensure as an RN/GN in the state of Texas. Previous nursing experience in ER or ICU is preferred, but not required. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within four weeks of employment (within six months of employment for new grads).
