Harris is currently seeking a Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO). The successful candidate will be responsible for technical, professional and administrative duties to ensure proposal support, contract compliance, and reporting as defined in FAR Part 19. Duties include but are not limited to:
Writing highly effective, compliant small business plans in support of proposal efforts; conduct outreach efforts with trade associations, business development organizations, conferences and trade fairs to locate suppliers; network with industry SBLOs, other industry assistance centers, and government agencies; daily interaction with existing and potential suppliers, generating multiple reports using Excel and PowerPoint; responsible for input of government reporting information semi‑annually.

This position also requires compliance to FAR 52.219‑9. The SBLO develops strategic short term and long‑term plans for the Small Business Program and can communicate and execute the plan.

In this highly visible role, this individual will be collaborating across various sites across the division.

• Working knowledge of Supply Chain disciplines (e.g. procurement) or contract administration.
• Experience with data gathering and analysis; developing clear and concise communications.
• Knowledge of the FAR relative to small business regulations.
• Experience with eSRS, ISRs, SSRs and other small business compliance processes.
• Organization skills, ability to set priorities and multitask, quickly learn L3

• Skilled oral, written and presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency in utilizing MS Office Applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Intermediate to advanced experience with databases, Microsoft Office products particularly Excel are required.
• Obtain Security Clearance – Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Bachelor Degree with a minimum of six (6) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
