Harris Corporation is seeking a Specialist, Integration and Test Engineering for Palm Bay, FL location. • Provide electrical engineering expertise for engineering studies, preliminary, conceptual and detailed facility design, calculations, troubleshooting, preparation of contract documents including drawings and specifications, and field inspections
• Understanding of engineering design concepts and engineering practices and procedures required to develop, test and deploy systems
• Develop procurement packages, review quotations, provide technical evaluations, review vendor submittals, and provide resolution of technical issues during the procurement process
• Creating, reviewing, and updating formal test procedures, engineering documentation, and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) for completeness
• Coordinating, and participating in all internal approvals for any Integration and Test deliverables that are required by the Statement of Work (SOW)
• Estimate task schedules and budgets (BOEs) for programs, proposals, and IR&D efforts.
• Collaborating and consulting with cross functional technical teams at L3
  
  Harris to include but not limited to Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, and subject matter experts in the areas of Environmental Stress screening (ESS) and Electromagnetic interference (EMI)
• Ensuring the proper execution of integration and test activities in the presence of customers and L3
  
  Harris Quality Engineering representatives
• Support internal peer design reviews, design verification testing of engineering unit and oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to promote collaboration among the program team

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Ability to travel 20%

• Experience working directly with government customers on development and/or production contracts
• Demonstrated experience with planning and effectively coordinating projects
• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
• Ability to perform work under general supervision
• Experience with RF test equipment (power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)
• Experience writing BOEs
• Prior SATCOM experience
• Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Possess a valid state driver’s license
• Possess or have the ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher
