Test Bench Engineer * Semiconductor & Microelectronics

Acara Solutions is seeking a Test Bench Engineer for Semiconductor & Microelectronics

We are seeking a hands‑on Test Bench Engineer to design, configure, execute, and debug semiconductor and microelectronic test setups in compliance with MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑STD‑750, MIL‑STD‑202, OEM specs, and customer requirements. Candidates must have direct experience in datasheet analysis, DUT/PCB/Burn‑in board setup or design, and bench test configuration/debugging.

• Analyze datasheets, test plans, and MIL‑STD requirements to define electrical and functional test conditions.
• Design or set up DUT boards, PCB interfaces, Burn‑in boards, and custom fixtures.
• Configure, operate, and debug test bench equipment for accurate, repeatable results.
• Perform electrical characterization, functional, programming, and environmental testing.
• Maintain detailed engineering notes, schematics, and test records.
• Support Sales and Engineering with quoting, hardware needs, and process improvements.
• Contribute to LabVIEW or automation development (preferred).

Required Skills /

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in EE, CE, Systems, Aerospace, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• 4–8 years of direct test bench experience with semiconductor/microelectronics devices.
• Proven ability to interpret datasheets, configure and debug equipment, set up DUT/PCB boards, and execute full device‑level tests.

Preferred Skills /

Qualifications:

• MIL‑STD experience, LabVIEW, chip‑level programming, PCB layout knowledge.
• Proficiency with Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, PXIe systems, Curve Tracers, Function/Signal Generators, DC Power Supplies, DMMs, VNA, TDR, Thermostream, environmental chambers, bread boarding, chip‑level programming tools, and standard lab electronics/soldering equipment.
